Sumbal Mushtaq was born in Islamabad Pakistan. She received her formal training in miniature painting and printmaking from Fatima Jinnah women University, and graduated in 2010 with distinction. In 2016 she moved to United State to do her M.F.A in intermedia studio at The University of Texas at Arlington.  She has exhibited her work through out Pakistan and United States.
